Eric Haugen is a cellist who enjoys playing a diverse range of musical styles. Beginning his studies at the age of three, he is equally comfortable performing a concerto with an orchestra, playing in a small chamber group, or strumming and singing pop tunes.
He holds degrees in cello performance from the University of Michigan and University of Colorado Boulder, as well as an artist diploma from his two year string quartet residency at CU studying with the Takacs Quartet.
He was a founding member of the Ajax Quartet, whose accomplishments included performances at Carnegie Hall, the Finnish Embassy in Washington, DC, and the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki.
Eric is currently working on writing and recording his own album, more news to come on that..
